WHAT THE HECK IS IT?  A story about a woman (Foster) who loses her fiancé after both of them are attacked by some typical young hoodlums. Her dog gets kidnapped, too, as if it weren’t bad enough. I’d be pretty pissed. Once she recovers, she’s out for some hardcore justice and vengeance. The film is directed by Neil Jordan, best known for The Crying Game and Interview With The Vampire.

SPECULATION: The most notable line of the trailer occurs with Jodie Foster’s viciously threatening (yet comical) “I want my dog back”. I think that says it all. Homegirl is pissed. As far as story goes, it seems like a paint-by- numbers flick about a woman’s revenge. It’s like that J.Lo movie, Enough. Still, I’ve got faith in Neil Jordan as a director, after enjoying his last works, Breakfast on Pluto and Intermission. He could be the key to what makes this more than mediocre.
