Movie Reviews: Resident Evil III

WHAT THE HECK IS IT? The final piece of the video game inspired trilogy switches settings to a future Las Vegas desert wasteland. Milla Jovovich’s character of Alice is back, this time with super- strength and super-senses, kicking all sorts of ass and slicing up zombies in all directions. Along with a team of helpers, she tries to vanquish that darned nasty zombie virus for good.

SPECULATION: There’s not much plot here, so what you’re getting is all action without much of the thought process. Most of the cast leaves much to desire (Ali Larter? Ashanti? Seriously?) but at least there’s good ol’ Milla to save the day. After seeing clips of the film at Wondercon and Comic-Con, I can tell you the fight sequences are plenty bloody and fairly tense. But that’s where the excitement ends.
