Review by The Ninja Master

Woah. Everybody was waiting for this one to be awesome, and it was.

THINGS THIS MOVIE CONTAINED: Severed legs, impaled torsos, stylized mega fights with ultra saturated colors, and digital environments to make them look surreal.

THINGS THIS MOVIE DID NOT CONTAIN:  Santa Clause, talking lemons, dialogue from "Daddy Day Care" with Cuba Gooding Jr. Untrue Fact: The actual Spartans were defeated by the Terminator, who traveled back in time to start a sunglasses store and teach Spanish.

The Review: This is action like you've never seen it before. Based on Frank Miller's Graphic Novel, which is based on the historicl Battle of Thermopylae, the film takes both stories to new levels. The visuals in this film are stunning, and every frame looks like it could be a painting. The fighting is intense and brutal, not bothering to hold back on the blood (thank you!) Of course the fight scenes are what this movie is about, so you'd expect those to be awesome. As an added bonus, the story is entertaining in itself, and is based fairly closely on the actual battle of Thermopylae and surrounding events. It's all around eye candy, with a decent plot included. If you want some hardcore fighting scenes to get your blood pumping, look no further. The film was built up to epic proportions before it ever came out, and while it is fantastic, it isn't the masterpiece to end all masterpieces. Still I think it easily lives up to the expectations of almost everybody, and I don't know anyone who didn't like this movie.

Complaints:  I know this movie has a lot of hardcore fighting, but I would have liked oceans of blood, seething with the maimed and shredded body parts of a hundred million corpses. And maybe some aliens, like in the real battle of Thermopylae. Maybe I'm thinking of Star Wars. Maybe I'm just not thinking, because I'm insane.

On a side note: The Ninja Master actually destroyed both armies blindfolded, with both arms and both legs tied behind his back. He even had his face tied behind his back, and his back tied in back of his chest. Fact. Look it up in your history books.
